Iceland 

The flag of Iceland is consisted of three colors: red, white and blue, which symbols, water, ice and fire.

Blue is the color of Iceland, so they often use blue on their close. The colors of their clothing has an visual effect that makes people feel calm and peaceful.

Early History

Scandinavians and the Celts in the 9th and 10 centuries before emigrating to Iceland, Iceland is the world's last large island uninhabited. Iceland in 930 AD.established the world's first parliament Proud, although this Parliament then did not run long. Some documentary evidence shows that Irish monks had arrived before the northerners lived in Iceland, but no archaeological evidence of this inference.

Under the rule of Norway and Denmark (1262 - 1944)

Iceland maintains 300 years of independence, then ruled by Norway and Denmark. 1814 Denmark - Norway, the United Kingdom, according to Kiel before the partition agreement, Iceland was a colony of King of Norway, has since become a subsidiary of the Danish State. 1874, the Danish Government has given Iceland limited autonomy in 1918, Iceland in the internal affairs of further similar protectorate gained independence and sovereignty, diplomatic and defense Denmark retained power. In 1940, during World War II occupation of Nazi Germany and Denmark, the same year the Allied occupation of Iceland. Danish king continued to maintain the rule of law on the establishment of the Republic of Iceland until 1944.

It’s a Nordic island country. There are 320 thousand people in Iceland.

Iceland is located at the juncture of the North Atlantic and Arctic Oceans. It is closer to continental Europe, than to mainland North America; thus, the island is generally included in Europe for historical, political, cultural, and practical reasons.

Iceland has many geysers and many kinds of volcanos.

The famous Strokkur, which erupts every 5–10 minutes.

President of Iceland Olafur Ragnar Grimsson

Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, the incumbent President of Iceland. He was elected president in 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012 election. From 1962 to 1970 Grimsson studied economics and political science at the University of Manchester School.
